Thinkory Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Thinkory, published by Pangea Creator Studio (“Thinkory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Thinkory mobile application.
Who we are
Thinkory is a social mystery game. Thinkory does not operate its own user-account backend, and the current app does not offer account creation, login, user profiles, or cloud story sync.

Information processed by Thinkory
Most information used by Thinkory is stored within the app's private storage on your device. This includes:
- stories you create, including titles, player-facing text, hidden solutions, and creation/update times;
- favorites and completed-story identifiers;
- Lantern balance, reward history, and story-unlock state;
- language, theme, music, and sound preferences;
- advertising cadence state; and
- a local indicator of whether Google Play has verified that Full Access is owned.
Thinkory does not ask you for or create a profile containing your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, precise location, photos, videos, voice recordings, health information, or payment-card details.
Local app data and Android backup
Thinkory stores gameplay and preference data in a local application database and local preferences. We do not operate a Thinkory server that receives this data.
Android's backup and device-transfer features may copy eligible application databases and preferences to Google-managed backup infrastructure, depending on your device, Android version, Google account, security settings, and backup choices. This can include Custom Stories and other local state. A backup may later restore data after reinstallation or on another device. Android backup is controlled by the operating system and Google, not by a Thinkory account.
Custom Stories
Custom Story titles, player text, and hidden solutions are stored in Thinkory's local database. The current app does not upload Custom Stories to Pangea Creator Studio, include them in advertising requests, or share them with other Thinkory users.
You can delete an individual Custom Story from My Stories. You can remove all current-device Thinkory data through Android's app-storage controls or by uninstalling the app. A previously created Android backup may be retained or restored according to your Android and Google backup settings. Full Access changes the Custom Story creation allowance; it does not change how Custom Stories are stored or transmitted.
Advertising
The free version of Thinkory contains rewarded and interstitial advertising provided through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Before requesting ads, Thinkory uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain current consent information, show a privacy message when required, and determine whether ads may be requested. When Google indicates that privacy options must remain available, Thinkory shows a Privacy options entry in Settings.
Google states that the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares certain information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. This may include:
- the device's IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and ad interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views;
- diagnostic information about the app and SDK, such as launch time, hangs, or energy usage; and
- device or account-related identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available and permitted.
This processing is performed by Google and, where applicable, advertising partners identified through Google's consent experience. Pangea Creator Studio does not maintain its own copy of your advertising ID, IP address, inferred location, or Google ad-interaction profile. Thinkory does not attach your Custom Story text, favorites, completed-story list, Lantern history, or purchase token to ad requests.
Google states that Google Mobile Ads data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Advertising may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited depending on applicable law, your choices, device settings, and Google's available ad modes. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all limited-ad, measurement, security, or fraud-prevention processing.
When Thinkory has a locally cached or Google Play-verified Full Access entitlement, Thinkory suppresses its advertising consent/SDK startup and ad requests.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, Google's UMP consent form provides information about advertising purposes and vendors and lets you make applicable choices. If Google reports that a privacy-options entry point is required, you can reopen it from Thinkory Settings. You may also manage or delete the Android advertising ID and change relevant privacy or ads settings in Android and your Google account.
These controls are provided by Google and may vary by region, Android version, device, and account configuration.
In-app purchases
Thinkory offers Full Access as a Google Play in-app purchase. Google Play is the payment processor. Payment credentials such as credit or debit card numbers are entered into Google Play and are not provided to or handled by Thinkory.
The app communicates with Google Play to obtain product information, start a purchase, receive purchase status, query previous ownership, and acknowledge completed purchases. Google Play purchase objects can contain a product identifier, purchase status, transaction information, a purchase identifier, and verification data. The current Thinkory app uses the product and purchase status to grant Full Access and stores only a local owned/not-owned entitlement indicator for offline continuity. It does not send purchase tokens to a Pangea Creator Studio server or persist them in its current purchase flow. Purchase verification is performed on the client; Thinkory currently has no purchase-verification server.
Google retains and handles purchase and payment records under Google's terms and privacy policy.
Third-party services
- Google Mobile Ads for advertising;
- Google User Messaging Platform for consent and privacy choices;
- Google Play Billing for in-app purchases; and
- Android Auto Backup, where enabled, for operating-system-managed backup and restore.
These services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
Thinkory does not currently integrate a Pangea Creator Studio analytics service, Firebase Analytics, a crash-reporting service, remote configuration, or a custom production API.
Data retention
Local gameplay, story, preference, and entitlement data remains on your device until it is changed or deleted, you clear the app's data, or the app is uninstalled. Android backup copies may follow a separate lifecycle controlled by Android, Google, your device, and your backup settings.
Advertising, consent, purchase, and backup information handled by Google is retained according to Google's applicable service terms, policies, and user controls. We do not set or control those retention periods.
Data security
Thinkory stores local data in the app's private Android storage. Network communication in the audited app is performed through Google Mobile Ads, UMP, Google Play Billing, and Android platform services. Google states that Mobile Ads uses TLS in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of device, platform, or third-party systems.
Children
Thinkory is not currently presented as a child-directed service, and we do not knowingly provide an account flow intended to collect personal information from children. The app's mysteries can include non-graphic references to subjects such as apparent crime, danger, accidents, death, or funerals. Parents and guardians should consider whether the content is appropriate for the people playing together.
If Thinkory's target audience or advertising configuration changes to include children, this policy and the app's consent and advertising settings will need to be reviewed before that change is released.
International processing
Google and its service providers may process advertising, consent, billing, or backup information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their applicable terms, privacy policies, and transfer mechanisms. Thinkory does not operate its own international user-data backend.
Your choices and deletion
You can:
- delete individual Custom Stories in My Stories;
- change language, appearance, and audio preferences in Settings;
- use the UMP Privacy options entry in Settings when Google requires it;
- manage advertising-ID, ads, account, and backup controls through Android and Google settings;
- clear all current-device Thinkory app data in Android settings; or
- uninstall Thinkory.
Clearing or uninstalling the app does not delete Google Play purchase records, Google advertising records, or Android backup copies controlled by Google. Thinkory has no user account or remote Thinkory profile to delete. For data managed by Google, use Google's account, advertising, purchase, and backup controls or contact Google under its policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will update the effective date when a revised policy is published. Material product changes may require additional in-app or store disclosures.
